The intent of this effort was to develop a mobile application targeting players seeking a fun party game with few rules, easy to play, yet highly competitive and hard to master.
The visual design emphasized UI simplicity, high visual style, instant feedback and audio performance queues should the player which to enable sound.
The result was an addictive game that is now on the Apple App Store. Real world feedback mirrors testing feedback gathered during development. See Tap Dash Fast on App Store.

Early prototypes were shown in sketch form and users were asked to complete tasks related to tapping to increase their score, viewing top scores, and playing again. Testing also resulted in the request for two separate buttons for tapping in order to increase speed. This can be seeing in the higher fidelity wireframes below.

As feedback was gathered and analyzed, below you can see the addition of connectivity to an online leaderboard instead of just a local high score on the device. Also, prototype testing revealed feedback that "power-ups" might add to the game if there was an element of risk. There is now a UI element that rapidly displays power-ups for .25 second each. One of the items is actual a "Game Kill" element. If hit, this will immediately terminate the game and freeze your score. Lastly, Achievement Badges have been added based on score level.
